Страниц: 198
Язык: другой
Размер: 16.9 Мб [PDF]
This book contains origami works I created m twenty two years [1977-1998), This period represents my lull life as an origami artist All models bring me some good memories, so they are like a part of myself Among works of that period, insects were already published In Origami Insects (co-aulhored by Fu-miaki Kawahata and Seiji Nishikawa . Origami House), so this book and the insect book are complemen tary to each other.
From the creator's point ot view, works In this book are notable in two poinls. First, so many inside-out works are included. The inside-oul method using a sheet of paper colored differently on the two sides is one ol the significant characienstics of modern origami I mysell would have a hard time if I did not use Ihe inside-out method Secondly. Ihe flavor of my works are revealed in the very early steps ot folding For example, the basic skeletal shapes of many works (like Crab, Giralfe. Lion, and Panda) can be already grasped alter only a lew steps at the beginning. Perhaps the early steps and outputs are one ol the most attractive parts of creation ol origami works for me
This is the first book which contains only ongami works ol mine. However, creating a book cannot in any sense be my sole work The staff members of the Gallery Origami House, especially Mr Makoto Va-maguchi who took responsibility of all the editorial work, did a marvelous job ol pulling my works into one printed book I would like to express my gratitude to them first of all II is also true that a book o! this kind cannot be possible without ongami enthusiasts all over the world, so I would like to thank them

Analysis and Design of Cryptographic Hash Functions Автор: Bart PRENEEL
Год издания: 2003
Страниц: 338
Язык: английский
Размер: 1.4 Мб [PDF]
The subject of this thesis is the study of cryptographic hash functions. The importance of hash functions for protecting the authenticity of information is demonstrated. Applications include integrity protection, conventional message authentication and digital signatures. Theoretical results on cryptographic hash functions are reviewed. The information theoretic approach to authentication is described, and the practicality of schemes based on universal hash functions is studied. An overview is given of the complexity theoretic definitions and constructions. The main contribution of this thesis lies in the study of practical constructions for hash functions. A general model for hash functions is proposed and a taxonomy for attacks is presented. Then all schemes in the literature are divided into three classes: hash functions based on block ciphers, hash functions based on modular arithmetic and dedicated hash functions. An overview is given of existing attacks, new attacks are demonstrated, and new schemes are proposed.
The study of basic building blocks of cryptographic hash functions leads to the study of the cryptographic properties of Boolean functions. New criteria are defined
and functions satisfying new and existing criteria are studied.
